2018 Competition Judges:
Brian Noody - Birds and Fish
Brian has been a lifelong taxidermist doing his first mounts when he was nine years old. He grew up in Alden, NY where he ran a full service taxidermy business while in high school and college. At that time he was also an active competitor at the Empire State Taxidermy Association. After college, he closed his large scale commercial business and focused his art by only doing a few custom pieces for select clients. Over the years he continued to perfect his skills and started competing again for the past eight years. He has won numerous awards with a strong focus on skin mount fish.
Brian has won Best of Show at the Worlds, 1 World Title, 2 Challenge of the Art Titles, 3 National Titles, 1 North American Championship, 3 Breakthrough Awards, and 1 WASCO Award.
Gianni Sanzo - Mammals & Gameheads
Gianni (John) Sanzo was born in Italy 64 years ago and immigrated to Canada in 1972.
John married his lovely wife Lucy in 1978. They have 3 beautiful daughters and 5 adorable grandkids.
Gianni was introduced to taxidermy at the young age of 25. From there his love for the art bloomed and he learned
from the best of the old school. His persistence in the art has gotten him all over the world having taught and judged
in the USA, New Zealand, Australia and Europe. Gianni particularly enjoys giving seminars and teaching the art of taxidermy.
Personally he loves hanging around taxidermists and treasures the many friends he has made in the industry.
Gianni specializes in large and small mammals having won several Wasco, many first and Best of Category ribbons,
and several Peoples Choice awards in both State and National competitions.
Recently Gianni won Third in the World in the live sculpturing division at the World Show.
You will find Gianni very eager to share his knowledge with everyone.

Hilton has been sculpting since the age of 9, nearly 45 years ago, including being a sculptor
for Buckeye Manikins when they first opened their business. Hilton went back to sculpting his own line of forms and owns

Hilton has won numerous awards for his taxidermy work along the way including NTA Joseph Bruchac Memorial Award Judges’ Choice
for Best Whitetail Deer, NTA North American Champion and Best in the World. He is a Lifetime member and certified Judge of the NTA.
